residential program

Legacy's residential program provides a sanctuary for up to two years as a haven from the social, psychological and economic factors that drive women to desperate means for basic life necessities. As a Legacy community, we share daily tasks, build on each other's strengths, and provide compassionate, disciplined support. Together we heal by ensuring access to safe and supportive housing, financial independence and a life-long community of support.

How to Apply:

Participants are referred to Legacy from a variety of sources including alcohol and treatment centers, mental health facilities, penal systems, various social service programs, and individuals. Upon referral, an individual is interviewed and placed on the waiting list until space becomes available. The House Review Committee reviews the application to determine if the applicant meets the in-take criteria and if her needs would be best served by Legacy or another program. If accepted, she will be contacted regarding acceptance into the program. If an applicant is not accepted, she will be directed to other agencies that might offer her further assistance.

toni’s story

“I have watched marriages rebuild, children be reunited with moms…the unconditional love piece. I get to love them right where they are. This was so freely shown to me. That’s what I love about the Legacy circle.”
